The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History Reopens with FireSign Dynamic Digital Signage

As part of The Smithsonian’s renovation of the National Museum of American History, FireSign digital signage now welcomes guests with information on current events, retail locations and highlights from the collection of more than 3 million artifacts. For this installation, FireSign provided a turn-key solution including software, hardware, installation, content templates and schedule planning for eight display screens at four points on ther first and second floors.

“FireSign was born in 2000, when one of our museum clients asked for a flexible yet dynamic way to manage their visitor services facilities,” said Chris Lee, Vice President of Anode. “Just eight years later, we are extremely proud to now be a part of the world’s largest museum complex.”

Newark Academy Implements FireSign for Athletic Updates

Newark Academy in Livingston, New Jersey is using FireSign digital signage to promote athletic events among the school’s 555 students in grades 6-12. FireSign connects to Newark’s exisitng Web database to automatically display athletic results and upcoming events for the school’s 18 athletic teams.

Kimbell Utilizes FireSign to Power Interactive Kiosks

Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas houses international art with collections ranging from antiquities to 20th century contemporary art.  FireSign digital signage software is being used to power touch-screen kiosks located in the lobby. These kiosks promote current and temporary exhibits while connecting visitors with the Kimbell Web site for an ongoing relationship.
