With the release of FireSign 3.3, Anode continues to demonstrate its commitment to the digital signage industry. This latest release of the FireSign dynamic digital signage platform boasts several new features and enhancements. Selected new features are described below.
Increased Scalability
JBoss is now clustered by default to share the load in digital signage systems with large numbers of Players.
Improved Security
- Fewer open ports required.
- Usernames are now required to be at least 8 characters in length with at least one upper case and one lower case alpha character and at least one number or punctuation char (!, #, $, %, &).
- Server admins can set the value of user.timeout.minutes on the configuration page for 5, 10, 15, 30, 60 or 120 minutes.
- Users can have a limited number of incorrect logins before they are locked out.
- Administrators can now set the maximum number of days a password is valid before requiring the user to change it.
- FireSign Server now displays list of logged-in users. Details include user name, IP address, JBoss node, application (Server or Studio) and elapsed session time.
Integrated Event List Utility
The Event List Utility has been integrated into FireSign Studio. This popular feature was previously a custom add-on.
New Workflow Logic
- Segments are now checked-out/checked-in when editing with FireSign Layout.
- A new segment “workflow” feature has been added to allow administrators to review and approve content before it is presented on screen.
